Fine Coal

One of the ways to reduce the ash content of coking coals is their screening in order to extract narrow size classes with the highest ash content. This solution is of particular relevance in the development of polydisperse flotation wastes from sludge storages of coal concentrators, in which millions of tons of coal suitable for further use have been accumulated.


However, such coal is not readily available due to the low efficiency of traditional conventional screeners when trying to use them for screening polydisperse slurries of coal technogenic deposits.


KROOSH technology allows you to solve such problems.

Slates
Screening of crushed shale is most often problematic, because this product has a very high moisture content (approx. 10-16%). Thus, its size classification is difficult because the product itself is clumpy and "sticky", which leads to clogging of the screen mesh.

Coal: Desliming

Purpose:
to increase efficiency of the line by removal of fines >0.1mm with the high ash content 50-60%.
Application:
slime storages of coal-washing plants.
KROOSH Results:
removal of fines <0.1mm with the high ash content (50-60%) allowed to receive the extra production volume of coal with low ash content 9-10%.
Reason of installation:
the customer couldn’t receive on-spec good product with the conventional screeners.
Product:
coal + 0.1mm to -3.0 mm for coke and by-product process.

Purpose:
to increase yield of the certain fraction 0-6mm.
Application:
gold extraction plants

extraction of additional gold from coal undersize of the screener manufactured by one of the US manufacturers.
Reason of installation:
the customer couldn’t receive on-spec good product with the conventional screeners.
Product:
slurry of 0.04–0.1 mm gold-containing coal.
Coal: Charge Coal

Purpose:
to increase yield of the certain fraction 0-6mm.
Application:
coke plants of iron-and-steel industry.
KROOSH Results:
the customer got huge economic impact due to the yield of 0-6mm in unders increased in 4-5 times and this allowed customer to decrease the recycling volume to crushers.
